Medical review policy
What is reviewed
Articles and guides that explain conditions, symptoms, evaluation or treatments are sent for medical review before publication. News items that report a source without clinical guidance may be published after editorial review alone.
Who reviews
Licensed clinicians at SEVA Healthcare with relevant expertise. The reviewer’s name and the review date are recorded in our system when they approve an article, and displayed on the page.
What the label means
“Medically reviewed by” means the named clinician read the article and confirmed that the clinical content was accurate at the review date. It does not mean the article is advice for you, that the reviewer treated any patient described, or that outcomes are guaranteed.
Pages without review
Some condition and treatment overviews are published as general information before review and say so on the page. They are written from the official SEVA Healthcare service pages and standard patient-education sources, and are updated when reviewed.
Re-review
Reviewed content is re-checked when evidence or SEVA Healthcare services change, or when a reader reports a concern. Corrections are listed on the article.
